Q: How do I use it?
Highlight text on any web page, right-click, and choose Translate to Japanese, Translate to Korean, or Explain in English. You can also press Alt+Shift+K to explain the highlighted text.
Q: Do I need an API key?
Yes. KotoLens uses Claude, so you need an Anthropic API key from console.anthropic.com. Paste it into the extension's settings. You pay Anthropic directly for what you use.
Q: How do flashcards work?
Click ＋ next to any word or phrase to save it. Review cards from the toolbar popup. KotoLens uses spaced repetition, so words you know well come back less often. You can export your cards to Anki.
Q: Where is my data stored?
Your flashcards and API key stay on your device. See the privacy policy.
